If you google Susan from the Narnia series, you will come across a seemingly unending series of articles, blogs and so on discussing the apparently sexist characterisation of one of the four original Kings and Queens of Narnia, centring around the fact that in the final book The Last Battle, Susan does not return to Narnia for the finale because she’s “a jolly sight too keen on being grown-up” and “she’s interested in nothing nowadays except nylons and lipstick and invitations.”
